In 2018, Molotov Mitchell wrote an incredible article called "10 Must-haves for Surviving in a Hostile Country" for RECOIL Magazine. This year, he's releasing a armored backpack that meets and exceeds the urban movement needs of people in both stable and treacherous environments. The svelte Black Zebra features a beautiful black on gloss black camouflage with crimson TKM logo over durable 270 x 500d blended weave polyester with heavy duty Incase 900d triple-coated side panels. Inside, we've seamlessly integrated NIJ IIIA ballistic back paneling capable of stopping calibers up to and including 12 gauge 00 buckshot and 45ACP rounds. And just because it's armor, doesn't mean it has to be ugly or uncomfortable. No, the Black Zebra was designed for the "grey man", someone who doesn't draw too much attention and can comfortably operate in urban settings. Inside, we've added plush faux fur lining to the padded notebook compartment to recall the comforts of home, while protecting the surfaces of your laptop or other device (up to 15"). There's also a large volume internal main pocket, featuring full size magazine and document slip, as well as a quick access zippered front pocket for Iphones or similar sized accessories. And because our motto is "Stay Dangerous", every pack comes equipped with a stylish, urban camo, full tang neck knife (includes retention ring, nylon fiber sheath and paracord). These beautiful packs are in short supply, so first come, first served.
IMPORTANT DISCLAIMER: Triangle Krav Maga’s Black Zebra body armor has been tested and rated to NIJ IIIA. If you have questions or concerns about your armor’s rating, let us know.
Be advised that no armor is 100% bulletproof. There are specialized armor piercing bullets and ultra-high velocity rounds that may not be stopped by armor. No body armor will completely protect against rifle or long gun ammunition, but for protection against rifle threats, TKM can upgrade your backpack to NIJ Level IV hard armor upon request (there will be a price increase).
"It is absolutely essential that those who select body armor and each officer who wears it realize that there is no such thing as a bulletproof vest. The routine use of appropriate soft body armor significantly reduces the likelihood of fatal injury, but 100% protection in all circumstances is impossible. Body armor selection is to some extent a trade-off between ballistic protection and wear ability. The weight and comfort of soft body armor is inversely proportional to the level of ballistic protection that it provides.” -- National Institute of Justice.
